Sexy Sunglasses

Well hello there! Michael and I have had a busy start to the week – so busy in fact that I can’t believe Wednesday is almost over. Work has been action packed (nothing new there), cooking has taken plenty of time, and CrossFit found its way in there somewhere. The biggest news by far happened yesterday, when I drove Michael to get Lasik after work.

Those are some sexy sunglasses don’t you think? ;) I can’t wait until next Tuesday when it’s my turn to go under the laser. Michael and I have both worn contacts for forever, so the idea of never wearing them again is really amazing. His surgery went really well – I can’t believe how fast it goes. You’re in and out of the “laser” room in under 15 minutes. He had a bit of discomfort last night, but woke up today with relatively normal vision. His eyes aren’t irritated anymore but they are super red and bloodshot, which should go away once they heal completely. I’m definitely glad that we didn’t end up doing it on the same day – there was a fair amount of stumbling around once we got home so I’m glad I was able to take care of him. That also means that he’ll be able to take care of me next week and I’m a much bigger baby when it comes to pain. I guess we’ll see how it goes!

The eye center is about 45 minutes away from home, so that meant we didn’t have a ton of time to eat before his procedure. We ended up grabbing Chipotle for dinner – Salads (no dressing), Carnitas, Pico, and Guacamole. You can’t really get much better than that when it comes to the Whole30 guidelines and eating out. It may not have been perfect, but I don’t feel guilty about it – there was just no time to cook.

Speaking of the food here’s what I’ve chosen to eat this week…
