Rainy Day

Rain rain go away and never come back! It’s been raining non-stop in the Bay area and I’ve just about had my fill. Tessie absolutely despises the rain and refuses to stay out there long enough to go poo. She’s on a poo strike, in fact, and I just know Michael and I will be finding little surprises in our closet. Dogs… le sigh.

This weekend had been a lazy one, but what else is new. Friday night Michael and I ventured out to an End of Movember bash. That’s right, that stache is now kaput and I couldn’t be happier.

It was definitely for a good cause, but I can’t say I miss it. Saturday was spent grocery shopping and laying around the house. Even though we were lazy we did get some chores crossed off the to-do list, which is always good. Now we’re getting ready to head to Crossfit – which I’m dreading just a little bit. This rain just makes me want to stay in and pull the covers up over my head. If we skipped it though, that would break our pact, so it must be done. The rest of the day is going to be filled with cooking – we’re finally getting around to roasting that brined turkey from Trader Joe’s. I’m planning on using the Cook’s Illustrated method of roasting at a high heat for a shorter amount of time. I really hope it turns out well.
