Blender Attack

Michael and I have been needing hair cuts for a while now, but I keep putting it off for fear of picking the wrong salon. Back in KC we had an awesome stylist who I had been going to for 2 years. She cut my hair perfect every time for a reasonable price, so needless to say I was spoiled. When I started looking for a good place in San Francisco I quickly realized that I wasn’t in Kansas anymore…..HOLY COW MEGA $$$$. Seriously, $75  for a simple haircut is outrageous. In search of a cheaper alternative, we decided to take a chance and get our haircut at a Regis in the mall…. I was NERVOUS! Our old stylist started at a Regis, so I was hopeful we’d get lucky. It turned out…< Drum-roll >…HORRIBLE! My hair looks like I got caught in a blender. The layers, oh the layers, ugh. From now on I only go to reputable salons. I don’t care if it costs $100 dollars, it’s worth it to be happy with the outcome. You live and learn.

Okay, I debated whether or not to post this picture, but I feel I must share. Here’s the side of my hair after my blender attack. It’s not so bad when you look at me from the front… OUCH.

Back to Basics: Day 13 Input

Breakfast this morning was the usual, eggs scrambled with bacon and veggies. I also drank a cup of coffee with coconut milk.

Breakfast

For lunch today I had leftover pork burgers and curried cauliflower. This meal was actually really great warmed up, so we’ll for make these babies again. I also had a bowl of blueberries and strawberries.

Lunch

For a snack I had some mixed fruit.

Snack

For dinner we made some Thai Chicken Lettuce wraps. The recipe I used was sort of a mix between this one, and this one. I basically made Sarah Fragoso’s version, but added a bit of coconut aminos to the sauce and used a few more toppings. These are super tasty, light, and fresh. If you like Thai Lettuce wraps you should totally try these.

Dinner

Our roommate just got his Vitamix in the mail today, so we HAD to blend something tonight. We decided on a dessert smoothie including frozen bananas, a can of coconut milk, chocolate chips, and strawberries. Hella YUM.
