Stress is an evil little thing. It makes my cortisol levels shoot up, increasing my need for chocolate and wine. I wish I knew how to control my emotions better. I’ve heard meditating really helps, but I never seem to get around to trying it. Learning to control my stress levels is my new mission for the month of November. Here’s an outline of my plan:
- Don’t sweat the small stuff.
- Breath deeply often.
- Be thankful (it is the month of Thanksgiving after all) for the things in my life that make me stress free.
- Exercise more.
- Work less. (ya right).
Okay, this all sounds great on paper, but putting it into action is a completely different beast. I’ll keep you updated on my results. Now onto dinner…
We ended up having to eat Chipotle for dinner tonight, due to me NOT improving on rule number 5. I do however, have some dessert for you. Last night we made some goat cheese stuffed dates with a crushed pecan topping. Very good.
